Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 9 April 2026
01 Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using R-VPN software, mobile applications, or connecting to an R-VPN server operated by PDG Global Limited ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"), you ("User" or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. These terms apply to both the open-source software and any commercial mobile applications distributed by PDG Global Limited.
Self-Hosted by Design
R-VPN is designed to be self-hosted. Most users deploy and operate their own R-VPN server. PDG Global Limited does not operate a central service — we provide the software, and you run it on your own infrastructure.
02 The Service
R-VPN is a stealth VPN protocol built in Rust that provides encrypted transport over WebSocket/TLS on port 443. The Service consists of:
Open-Source Protocol
The R-VPN core protocol, server, and rvpn-mobile library are open-source under AGPL v3.0. Anyone can audit, modify, and distribute this code.
Desktop Binaries
Pre-compiled client and server binaries for macOS, Linux, and FreeBSD, distributed under the AGPL v3.0 license.
Commercial Clients
Native iOS and macOS applications on the App Store. Closed-source but built on the open-source rvpn-mobile library. Revenue funds ongoing R-VPN development.
03 License
3.1 Open-Source Components
The R-VPN core protocol, server, and rvpn-mobile library are licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0).
You are free to use, modify, and distribute the software subject to the terms of that license.
3.2 Commercial Client Applications
Our iOS and macOS client applications distributed through the Apple App Store are closed-source commercial products.
Purchasing these applications supports ongoing development of the R-VPN project. They are provided under a standard EULA and subject to the App Store Terms of Service.
3.3 Dual Licensing
For commercial use cases that cannot comply with AGPL-3.0 obligations, a separate commercial license is available. Contact us for details.
04 User Responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Software complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
You must not use the Software for any illegal purpose, including but not limited to: fraud, distribution of malware, or unauthorized access to computer systems.
You are responsible for securing your identity keys and prekey bundles. Loss of these credentials may compromise your connection security.
When self-hosting a server, you are responsible for its operation, security, and compliance with applicable laws. PDG Global Limited has no control over and no responsibility for servers operated by users or third parties.
05 Acceptable Use (PDG-Operated Servers Only)
If you connect to an R-VPN server operated by PDG Global Limited, the following activities are prohibited:
Distributing child exploitation material
Conducting unauthorized network attacks or scanning
Operating botnets or command-and-control infrastructure
Spam or unsolicited bulk messaging in violation of law
We reserve the right to terminate access for any user found violating these terms. This section does not apply to self-hosted servers, which are operated entirely by the user.
06 No Warranty
R-VPN is security software. While we employ industry-standard cryptographic practices, no system can guarantee absolute security. You use the Service at your own risk.
07 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDG Global Limited and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:
Your use of or inability to use the Service
Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data
Statements or conduct of any third party on the Service
Any other matter relating to the Service
08 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PDG Global Limited and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and contributors from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of any third party.
09 App Store Terms
For mobile applications downloaded through the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:
The license granted to you is limited to use on Apple-branded products that you own or control.
PDG Global Limited (not Apple) is responsible for the application and its content.
Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the application.
Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the application.
10 Termination
PDG-Operated Servers
We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach these Terms.
Self-Hosted Servers
PDG Global Limited has no control over access — the server operator is solely responsible for managing user access.
11 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.

Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
